The new SABA Email Blast Policy was approved by the SABA
Board at its May 10, 2006 meeting. The following guidelines
will be used by the SABA Administrator when sending email
to SABA members who have opted to receive SABA information
by email.
1. Announcements of upcoming SABA sponsored events.
2. Announcements of community events (not SABA sponsored)
of general interest to the business community and the community
at large.
3. Announcements of events sponsored by current non-profit
SABA members.
4. Announcements of urgent business related issues such
as the Calling Tree, Last Call, Recognizing Fraudulent Travelers
Checks, etc..
5. Minutes of SABA Business Meetings.
6. Monthly calendar reminder email with optional Blast
Ads (with a direct link to the SABA website member
calendar page).
7. Monthly SABA Business Meeting agenda.
8. The SABA membership email list will not be available
for purchase.
In addition to the above guidelines, the following internet/email
marketing enhancements and opportunities have been created
for SABA members. These opportunities will be encouraged
and are available to all SABA members:
A. SABA members may submit promotion announcements for
business related events and exclusive offers for members
to the SABA Members Calendar
(Currently unavailable) 1) There are no limitations to the number of submissions
that a member may make.
2) Each submission will be limited to a Title, Date, Time,
Location, Address, Email or Phone Number, and a 10 Word
Description.
3) Each post will appear within 5 days following submission.
B. SABA members may submit up to two free business promotion
announcements per month to the SABA
Visitor Calendar.
1) Additional announcements (over the two comps) can be
included for a fee of $10.00 per announcement.
2) Both the comps and additional paid announcements will
be limited to a Title, Date, Time, Location, Address, Email
or Phone Number and a 10 Word Description.
3) Each post will appear within 5 days following submission.
C. SABA members will have the opportunity to purchase Blast
Ads on the monthly calendar reminder email (see #6 in guidelines).
1) A fee of $25.00
will be charged for each Blast Ad.
2) Monthly calendar reminder email will allow up to 5
Blast Ad displays (on a first come first included basis).
3) Each Blast Ad is limited to 60 words of copy and one
image.
4) Blast Ads must be submitted at least 5 days prior to
the 1st of the month that they are to be included.
5) Members may create and submit their own Blast Ad or SABA
can create them (SABA created Blast Ads will be limited
to the initial creative content and one revision only).
6) Payment must be received prior to Blast Ad posting.

points 1, 2 and 3 in the SABA Email Policy Blast Guidelines
listed above.
