The 8th Annual Lakeshore Harvest Ride is one of Southwest’s Michigan’s signature events. This fun and scenic bicycle tour is known for “more smiles per mile.” It winds over the rolling countryside near Lake Michigan, starting in the festive harbor towns of South Haven or Douglas. This year’s Ride is on Saturday, 9/14/19, which is the perfect time to visit the area. The Labor Day crowds have departed, and the weather is typically sunny with comfortable temperatures. Unlike most bike tours, cyclists don’t just pass by scenic farms and vineyards along the Lakeshore Harvest Ride. You can stop to sample the harvest and make purchases. Better yet, a concierge service delivers any purchases to riders at their start point for easy loading into their cars. Visit wineries, cider mills, art studios, family farms and orchards. Based on your ability, choose from four routes of 15 to 62 miles in length. Lunch, snacks, and water are included. Save $15 per person by registering before 8/19/19, and $20 per person for groups of 3 or more. Go to www.LHRide.com for more information and to register.
