The acclaimed Mountainfilm on Tour: Saugatuck returns to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts during our third annual screening.
Coming in 2019: an expanded 2-day film experience. We’ll kick off the weekend with our Friday night food-drinks-music-film event at the SCA featuring short documentaries.
We’ve added 2 new venues showing films Saturday morning & afternoon and a full-length feature documentary Saturday night at the SCA. Plus art demonstrations, a Woosah Outfitters pop-up shop and gallery, a new merchandise headquarters, and loads of deals and discounts for festival attendees all weekend long.
We’re ironing out the details … stay tuned for a fall announcement and “on sale” date for passes, lodging, festival merchandise, and more.
Hailed by MovieMaker Magazine as “One of the Top 25 coolest film festivals in the world”, our Friday “Evening of Shorts” features 12 short documentaries from the 2018 Mountainfilm Festival. The award-winning films span the gamut from sports to the environment to foreign arts & culture.
About The Festival
Started in 1979, Telluride Mountainfilm is one of America’s longest-running film festivals. Through the years, in and out of trends and fads, the festival has been best described by one unchanging word: inspiring. Each year Mountainfilm travels around the globe with a selection of current and best-loved films from the annual festival in Telluride, Colorado.
By partnering with organizations like the SCA, Mountainfilm helps people explore themes connected to their mission of using the power of film, art, and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Don’t miss this evening of great film and inspiring stories!
In 2018 our Mountainfilm on Tour festival culminated with an after-party featuring The Mark Lavengood Band, Colorado craft brews and food from Borrowed Time. We plan to amp this party up in 2019 with another outstanding band and even more local food. Multiple food vendors will be situated in our heated outdoor pavilion, the beer cooler will be well stocked, WOOSAH OUTFITTERS will be on hand discussing and selling their beautiful artwork and the band will be ripping through a couple sets of live music. The after-party will begin after the films on Friday, March 22. The band and food venders will be announced soon.
